Don’t be alarmed…we’re talking about the Allures 39.9 Big Bear. Brian and Emily visited the Swiftsure Yachts sales dock on Lake Union during their Seattle stopover en route to northern cruising grounds.
Brian ordered Big Bear in 2013 and spent two weeks testing systems and gear in Cherbourg, France before shipping her from Southampton, UK to Baltimore, Maryland. Swiftsure Yacht displayed Big Bear in the 2015 US Sailboat Show. Since then, Brian and Emily have cruised Labrador, the Bahamas, Caribbean, transited the Panama Canal, and recently sailed up the west coast of North America. Summer plans are to explore British Columbia. From there, who knows? It’s great to have another Allures on the west coast of North America!
