Calypso is a real head turner. She is one of the finest examples of American craftsmanship in a fast, comfortable cruiser-racer and is probably the cleanest and most well-equipped Sabre 362 available. Her hull has been painted in Majestic Blue Awlgrip with the house in Oyster White with contrasting non-skid. Renowned Sabre quality is evident throughout this finely equipped and maintained performance cruiser. Sleeps seven in three cabins. The owner’s stateroom is forward with a double berth, drawers under the bench to starboard with a storage locker outboard. New foam for the master berth (2011). Cedar-lined hanging locker opposite to port with large shelf above. There are shelves port and starboard above the bed. A vanity and sink are on the bulkhead with hot and cold pressure water. The large overhead hatch with Lewmar roller blinds (screen/ blackout combo), and two opening ports each with screens provide excellent light and ventilation.
The salon has L-shaped settee that forms a double berth to starboard, and a straight settee/single berth to port. There is storage outboard both behind cushions and in lockers above and a Hi-Def flatscreen TV and DVD built in to port. The folding mahogany dining table is on starboard.and fold up against the forward bulkhead with storage shelves behind, with a brass ship’s clock outboard of the table. The aft facing chart table is to port with built in
navigation and communications, circuit breaker panel with voltage and amperage meters. Light and ventilation provided by two overhead hatches, two opening ports and four large fixed port lights for excellent light and visibility.
The L-Shaped galley is amidships to starboard. with a propane, gimbaled, stainless steel stove/oven, and a 12 volt refrigeration unit with two top opening and front opening doors. Double stainless steel sinks with Hand pressure water, icebox drain and fresh water back up pumps. Galley countertops are Corian with large storage cabinets outboard and below counters, three drawers. A built in trash can is flush mounted on the counter top. Aft of the galley is the second stateroom with large double berth, cedar lined hanging locker, seat, storage shelf above berth with drop down doors. Overhead hatch and two opening ports provide good light and ventilation. The large head compartment is aft to port with molded vanity and sink, hot and cold pressure water, marine toilet with Y valve, macerator, holding tank, overboard discharge pump and deck discharge, stall shower with hot and cold pressure water, bench, three storage lockers. Two opening ports and one deck hatch provide good light and ventilation. The interior finish is satin finish varnished mahogany throughout with a varnished teak and holly sole. The upholstery in the salon is navy blue Ultrasuede and a navy blue fabric in the staterooms. There are accord shades on all ports for privacy. Headroom is 6’4″ in main cabin area. All exterior and interior lights have LED bulbs.
GALLEY
There is exceptional storage in her L-shaped galley in the many drawers and lockers. The large ice box has a front loading door that also opens from the top to provide you with safe and easy access to refrigerated items while underway. Trash is hidden beneath the counter with a cutout to access it.
