Interior Accommodations
CAPE COD's interior combines the warmth of traditional yacht joinery with a practical, open layout designed for comfortable cruising. The main salon is bright and inviting, with large windows, white-painted bulkheads, and carefully finished wood trim. Straight settees to port and starboard are upholstered in blue with contrasting white and yellow piping, while a beautiful mahogany drop-leaf table provides a versatile centerpiece. Secured to the cabin sole with removable thumb screws, the portable table can be repositioned throughout the salon to suit dining or entertaining.
The helm is positioned forward to starboard, with a wood-rimmed wheel and the vessel's navigation electronics, electrical distribution panel, autopilot controls, and engine controls arranged nearby. A companion seat sits opposite to port, with a counter and refrigerator compartment that can be accessed from both the salon and galley—a thoughtful arrangement that makes provisioning and everyday use particularly convenient. Aft, double doors open into the spacious cockpit, creating an inviting connection between the interior and exterior living areas. Side doors on both port and starboard provide direct access to the side decks.
The salon's overhead features laminated deck beams with tongue-and-groove paneling, adding architectural character and a traditional feel. Three steps lead down to the forward accommodations, where the galley is arranged to port and the head to starboard. The galley features a sink, generous storage in lockers and drawers, a three-burner propane stove and oven, and a microwave.
Opposite the galley, the head includes an electric-flush toilet, an integral shower, and teak slats over the shower sump. A counter with drawers and lockers below provides additional storage, while sliding-door lockers along the outboard hull side make use of the available space.
Forward, the accommodation plan provides two settee berths arranged around a central table that drops to create a larger sleeping berth. Traditional wood battens line the hull sides, complementing the warm character of the interior. Additional storage includes forward lockers and a large hanging locker aft to starboard, with four drawers below.
Throughout, CAPE COD has a distinctly traditional, Herreshoff-inspired character, combining white-painted bulkheads with warm wood trim, traditional detailing, and carefully finished woodwork. The result is a bright, welcoming interior with a timeless maritime aesthetic, well suited to extended cruising and comfortable time aboard.

Deck and Hull
CAPE COD combines the traditional lines of a Down East lobster boat with the craftsmanship of her Covey Island construction. Her hull form, designed by Spencer Lincoln of Maine, draws inspiration from the working boats of the North Atlantic, with a beautifully proportioned sheer and a raised bow that lends a purposeful, seaworthy character. Spray knockers at the bow complement her traditional profile.
The hull was built using a strip-planking method, with 2 × 2-inch strips encapsulated in epoxy and finished with two layers of 11-ounce fiberglass cloth. This construction reflects the traditional boatbuilding heritage behind her design while providing a durable composite hull.
The hull is finished in a distinctive stars-and-stripes blue with a red boot stripe and green bottom paint. A stainless steel rub strake extends the full length of the hull, providing protection along the hull sides. The decks feature a teak overlay, with a tall cap rail extending aft toward the cockpit and stainless steel handrails providing secure access forward from the side doors. Stainless cabin-top handrails, wood-trimmed deck hatches with lenses, and a center stainless steel dorade on the foredeck add both practical utility and traditional character.
Forward, a dedicated stainless tube anchor roller platform carries three rollers and a Rocna anchor, with a Lewmar electric windlass providing anchoring assistance. The foredeck arrangement is complemented by the raised bow and practical deck access characteristic of her Down East design.
A spacious cockpit offers a generous working and entertaining area, with a teak sole and a full-width aft bench seat with storage lockers beneath. A hatch provides access to the bilge space below the cockpit sole. Stainless davits at the stern carry an AB RIB dinghy with a 20 hp outboard, adding practical utility for exploring and accessing shore.
