I grew up boating on Flathead Lake, with regular family trips to the San Juan Islands. After college, I began racing J24’s, and together with my crews, won the Pacific Northwest Championship three times. Since then I’ve competed in many events including MEXORC, US Sailing Mallory Cup, Swiftsure, and J/24 National and World Championships. In addition to racing sailboats, I took a year off of work in 2004-2005 to cruise the west coast of Mexico to provide an educational experience for my children beyond traditional schooling.
I’m a USCG licensed captain, 100-ton Master, and have delivered yachts across the Atlantic, and to and from Mexico and the Caribbean. Together with my partner Amy, who I work with at at Big Sky Yachts, we currently own and sail the Henderson 30 Sabrosa, and the high latitude, New Zealand-built, aluminum Ocean Flyer 55 Big Sky.
I’m working with Swiftsure Yachts to help Flathead Lake and inland clients realize their dreams of buying and selling quality yachts
