Timber is a beautifully maintained Farr office designed cruising boat. She has been consistently upgraded by her second owners including a new Volvo engine in 2018 (due to manufacturer recall). She is fully loaded for cruising, but easily sailed shorthanded. Her interior was designed by BMW as feels modern and spacious. Her electronics include a touchscreen chartplotter and AIS. She has beautiful sails including an asymetrical spinnaker with an ATN sock. TIMBERis ready for her new owners and a terrific platform for new adventures.

Interior Accommodations When you board TIMBER you immediately feel as though you’ve boarded a bigger boat. Bavaria builds boats of all sizes and they know how to do a layout that feels larger than it is. The cockpit is very spacious and has a fold down table, seating for 6 or more, a folding Lewmar wheel and a fold down transom for boarding and hanging out. You could truly have people sleep in this cockpit. If you choose to do some club racing there are plenty of winches and space for a generous crew. A double handed Race to the Straits would be awesome. The decks are easy to move around on and there is room to work the sails or stow a dinghy on the foredeck. To go below you have two doors that open like doors, no drop boards to deal with. The companionway hatch is clear plexiglass which let’s light in during our grey winters. The dodger is spacious and well covers the cockpit and there is a full bimini that gives sun and rain protection. TIMBER has the teak overlay option that makes the boat feel more yacht like than plastic. Coming down the ladder you have a large L-shaped galley to starboard with a huge aft cabin around and under the cockpit. The galley has a refrigerator, two burner propane stove and double sink. In the aft cabin, the bed is very generous and spacious. The head with separate shower is to port. Forward on the port side is a sit down navigation station with electrical controls. There is a large settee forward of that with the batteries below. This settee is large enough to use as a berth. On starboard you’ve got a u shaped galley and a dinette on starboard large enough to seat six. The main bulkhead holds the flat panel TV and separates the master cabin forward. There is plenty of room to close the door and have a dressing area without sitting on the v berth. There are cabinets everywhere. There are many overhead hatches and ports and all but two have OceanAir covers with screens. You can have the boat as bright or as dark as you like and each cabin has multiple options. BMW did a terrific job with the interior as you can see from the photos. This is a boat you could spend lots of time aboard and not feel cramped. |
