Emerald Star is an exceptionally well maintained version of the popular PNW cruising boat. She has been lovingly enjoyed by her two very experienced owners. American Tug builds to a very high standard and Emerald Star is a wonderful example of why they have prospered while other builders have not. The design is remarkable for what you can do with only 34 feet. Emerald Star has everything you need for even extended cruising without feeling constrained. She has a generator, watermaker, extended battery capacity, wonderful accomodations and a powerful rigid inflatable dinghy. She has been consistently cared for and it shows. Whether you are looking for a weekender or are considering a cruise to Alaska, take a look at Emerald Star, you won’t be disappointed.

Interior Accommodations
There are three ways to enter Emerald Star. From the cockpit there is a large aluminum door into the salon. The cockpit is large enough for a couple of deck chairs and has a big lazzarette below. The propane locker is also a step as you board from the starboard side. There is a transom door and big swimstep with boarding ladder. The roof overhangs to cover the door into the salon. There are seven windows in the salon three opening with screens. There is 6 ft 7 in headroom that creates a space that feels really great.
There are doors on either side of the pilot station that open to facilitate docking or just to bring in the fresh air. Side decks allow for movement on each side of the salon.
When you enter from the cockpit into the salon the galley is to starboard and the settee to port. There is seating for four in the L shaped furniture. Storage is below and the seating becomes a bed. The table is made from solid wood. The Galley has a force 10 three burner stove with oven. The refigerator was upgraded in 2016 with a very high quality Isotherm over and under. There are counters and cabinets everywhere, including under the salon floor. Clearly this boat is made to be lived aboard for long periods of time.
Three steps up from the salon is the pilot station. The helm is to starboard with a double sliding helm station beside the opening door. The instruments are above the helm and there is a really big counter for chart work. The forward windows have wipers and a defroster. To port is another large seat for passengers and another opening door to the side deck.
Down three stairs to port forward of that seat is the very large head with shower and the walk around queen berth. There is a separate entrance for the head allowing for privacy. This is the largest head you’ll see on a 34 ft boat, with full headroom in the shower. The toilet is a vaccuflush with a fresh water flush.
The bed has a custom coil spring mattress and can be accessed from either side. there are hanging lockers and cabinets on both sides of the bed. Separate reading lights and a large overhead hatch makes this a really secure and comfortable place to spend the summer. Upgraded SS ports throughout.
