Accommodations
There were several interior options for the Valiant 42, and ANTOINETTE features the most popular Center Entry Queen layout. As you come down the companionway, a double quarter berth is located to port, while the head with separate shower stall is to starboard. Moving forward, the galley is to port and the forward-facing sit-down navigation table is to starboard. The main salon contains a centerline drop-leaf table, an L-shaped settee to port, and a straight settee to starboard, offering a warm and functional gathering space at sea or at anchor.
The forward cabin is fitted with two seats, a hanging locker to port, a storage locker with shelves to starboard, and a V-berth for two. Cabinetry to port and starboard provides ample storage for clothing, linens, and personal gear. Throughout, ANTOINETTE’s interior reflects Valiant’s reputation for craftsmanship, with warm woods, abundant lockers, and a practical layout for extended cruising.
Ventilation and light are enhanced by multiple opening hatches, rebuilt with new lenses and seals between 2017 and 2020. Recent interior upgrades include a head pump (2022) and a poly holding tank (2021). For extended autonomy, the Katadyn Power Survivor 40E watermaker (2022) supports long passages away from shore.
