The Hallberg-Rassy 372 is a well-regarded performance cruiser that blends traditional Swedish craftsmanship with modern sailing performance. Designed by Germán Frers and introduced in 2008, the 372 features a sleek hull with a long waterline, moderate beam, and low coachroof, all contributing to excellent upwind ability and a fast, comfortable ride in a range of conditions. The powerful fractional rig and deep fin keel enhance performance, and her deep spade rudder provides exceptional control and responsiveness under sail, particularly when heeled. BELLA is easily handled by a shorthanded crew as a result of her in mast furling mainsail, electric “push button” headsail furling and electric primary and mainsheet winches. With the aid of her powerful bow thruster, departing the dock and getting under sail is a breeze.

Below deck, the Hallberg-Rassy 372 offers a warm and inviting interior finished in the company’s signature mahogany joinery that has been maintained in excellent condition. The layout is optimized for cruising comfort, with a spacious saloon, U-shaped galley, generous nav station, and two large private cabins. High-quality materials, thoughtful storage solutions, and excellent ventilation throughout make this yacht ideal for extended passages or coastal cruising. With a focus on simplicity, durability, and ease of handling, the HR 372 is a favorite among sailors looking for a capable and beautifully built vessel with genuine offshore potential. Highly optioned from the factory and well maintained by a long time Hallberg-Rassy owner (her original owner), it will be hard to find a nicer example of the type.

In mast furling mainsail and electric furling headsail – electric primary winches and mainsheet winches – Elvstrom EPEX sails – Webasto diesel heat – water cooled refrigeration – bow thruster – Gori three blade folding propeller – B&G electronics – extensive options, additional equipment and safety gear

Interior Accommodations

The interior layout of the Hallberg-Rassy 372 is thoughtfully designed for both comfort at sea and extended cruising. Starting forward, the owner’s cabin features a spacious V-berth with ample room to sit up, generous storage in lockers and drawers, and good natural light and ventilation. Moving aft, the main saloon includes a large U-shaped settee to port and a straight settee to starboard, both surrounding a central folding dining table with storage inside. The saloon is finished in classic mahogany with light-colored upholstery, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere.

Aft to port is a well-equipped, seagoing U-shaped galley with double sinks, a gimbaled stove, top-loading fridge, and extensive counter space and storage, making meal preparation easy underway. Opposite the galley to starboard is a large forward-facing navigation station with a full-size chart table and electrical panel, providing a practical space for planning and system management. The aft cabin, located on the starboard side, includes a large double berth and lockers, while the spacious head is to port, just forward of the companionway, with a separate shower area. The layout emphasizes functionality, safety, and comfort in a compact and beautifully crafted space.

Deck and Hull

The Hallberg-Rassy 372 is built to the high standards of durability and seaworthiness for which the Swedish yard is renowned. The hull is constructed using hand-laid GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) with vinylester barrier coat to resist osmosis. Below the waterline, the laminate is solid, while above the waterline, it incorporates a sandwich construction with Divinycell core for added stiffness and thermal/acoustic insulation. Longitudinal stringers and transverse floor timbers are laminated into the hull to ensure structural integrity and distribute loads from the rig and keel.

The deck is also sandwich construction with a Divinycell core and is securely bonded to the hull. A teak caprail set upon a raised bulwark surrounds the teak deck. The keel is a deep, lead fin bolted to a substantial keel stub, providing a low center of gravity and excellent sailing performance. The rudder is semi-balanced and mounted on a robust stainless-steel stock, offering smooth and precise steering. Key structural components are accessible for inspection and maintenance. Overall, the 372 reflects Hallberg-Rassy’s philosophy of building robust, long-lasting yachts capable of serious offshore cruising.

The deck of the Hallberg-Rassy 372 is designed with both performance sailing and cruising comfort in mind. The cockpit is deep and well-protected, with high coamings and a fixed windscreen that offers excellent shelter from wind and spray. The helm station includes a large wheel, easy access to winches, and a thoughtfully arranged instrument panel, making it ideal for short-handed sailing – and BELLA is a “push button” Hallberg-Rassy featuring electric furling for the mainsail and headsail and electric primary winches.

The side decks are wide and unobstructed, with sturdy teak surfaces and robust handholds for safe movement forward. All control lines are led aft to the cockpit under the deck or through covered channels, maintaining a clean, uncluttered look. The fractional rig with swept-back spreaders eliminates the need for running backstays, and the deck-stepped mast keeps the interior dry and structurally simple. Forward, a deep anchor locker and integrated bow fitting with a robust double roller enhance anchoring and mooring operations.
