DON’T PANIC is a terrific example of a PNW classic. This one owner boat was purchased new and has seen little use in her ten years. She has been used locally and barely cruised. Her stove and microwave have never been used at all. The owner has maintained her faithfully and she is ready to go now. She was hauled in June of 2023 and professionally detailed.

She is berthed at a marina within walking distance of the ferry and can remain in her current slip.

If you’ve been looking for a clean hardly used Cutwater 28 come on over to Bainbridge Island to have a look at DON’T PANIC.

Don’t Panic is moored in a private marina on Bainbridge Island. Please contact Bob Schoonmaker@206-818-7394 or Bob@swiftsureyachts.com to schedule an appointment. All vessels brokered through Swiftsure Yachts are sold through our Seattle office and appropriate taxes and fees apply.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The C28 forward stateroom, with its convertible V-berth, television and private head with shower, offers exceptional privacy and comfort. The C28 adds the convenience of a mini-galley in this space to create a welcoming after-hours retreat…or a separate hideaway for the kids.

The C28 includes a self-bailing inner-liner cockpit that’s ideal for fishing or relaxing at anchor. A solid gate offers access to a custom transom platform with integral boarding ladder for watersports or easy access to tender or dock. The C28 cockpit seating plan incorporates a reversible seat integrated into the transom as well as flip-out seating from the Starboard and Port sides. With nearly 16 square feet of additional deck area, the cockpit on the Cutwater 28 also includes built-in cabinets for refreshments and extra storage volume..

Single-engine diesel power and the exclusive Cutwater Hull design combine to deliver admirable cruise speeds and exceptional fuel economy to maximize range. Standard bow and stern thruster make docking a breeze. And being trailerable the C28 offers quick, convenient access to distant cruising waterways. NO TRAILER will be included with this boat.

Coming Aboard

Cutwater boats is the big brother of the Ranger Tug family. The builders learned from the hundreds of Ranger customers and incorporated many of the features and ideas that made Ranger highly successful. She has an advanced hull design, dual thrusters and plenty of creature comforts that make her a very handy small cruising yacht.

Boarding can be done from the swimstep through a transom door, or over the side deck with one step into the cockpit. There are handholds everywhere to make it easy for old and young alike. The cockpit is large enough for four with fold up seating on the sides and a permanent bench seat at the transom. There are multiple places to store all of the gear used outside of the boat and a sink for washing up and a wand for showering. The cockpit has a bimini cover for sun and rain but no side curtains to get in the way. The engine cover is electrically operated and access is terrific for maintenance.

A solid door to the cabin leads into the galley on the port side and dinette on starboard. The dinette seats four and converts into a bed. Under the dinette is another berth that would be great for kids to make into a fort.

The galley has a two burner propane stove and oven (that’s never been used). There is a small sink with pressurized hot and cold water with a cutting board cover. The seat at the forward end folds forward to extend the counter space.

Access to the sleeping area under the dinette is through the fold up dinette seat. The battery controls, solar controller and diesel heater controls are all here.

The large helm seat also folds like a transformer to make the dinette work.

The helm has the chartplotter/radar, thruster, autopilot and the engine controls. There is the VHF, anchor, wipers, searchlight and engine heating controls. Everything you need to run the boat is right at hand and easy to see. The thrusters and autopilot have remotes.

Down two steps puts you into the main sleeping cabin with the head to starboard forward of the helm. The bed is very generous for a boat of this size and you don’t need to climb over each other to get in and out. There are reading and overhead lights as well as a two opening hatches and four opening ports. There is another sink here as well as the microwave and wall mounted television. The bed converts into another dinette/table combo.

The head has a solid door, ventilation and yet another sink. There is a shower wand with hot and cold running water.

The Cutwater 28 has everything you’d find in larger vessels but in a. more manageable and fuel efficient package.
