With 6’6 headroom in the salon and pilothouse, she features a traditional raised wheelhouse with tremendous visibility, the salon aboard the Nordic Tug 32 is comfortable for extended stays and provides the ability to stretch out and utilize the full boat.
Snug Tug features overnight accommodations for four, utilizing the convertible dinette in the salon as well as the forward stateroom featuring a vee-berth. Aft of the forward stateroom and to starboard is a comfortable size head with shower area contained with curtain. Her opening salon windows provide plenty of ventilation to move air through the boat with a natural flow with day and night with pleated shades providing both visibility and privacy.
The pilothouse is three steps up from the galley. In this all-weather boat, the skipper has good ventilation and visibility all around. the overhead hatch provides nice airflow and the Diamond Seaglaze aluminum and glass sliding doors on both sides of the pilothouse provide access forward to the bow.
The helm features full instrumentation as well as the navigational suite and comms. There is room to spread out charts. Everything is within easy reach for the skipper, and the adjustable helm bench seat allows for sitting and standing operation of the boat.
Forward of the pilothouse and down three steps is the master stateroom. There is a centerline queen size berth with two storage drawers underneath. The master features 6’3″ headroom and plenty of room for clothing in large hanging lockers in addition to the storage under the berth. Nicely finished, this stateroom has a nice, open feeling with an opening hatch and ports for ventilation.
The head adjoins the master stateroom. The well laid out head features a separate stall shower and room to dry off and dress in the head compartment itself. With 100 gallons on board, there is plenty of water to take long cruises and still enjoy regular showers.

Mechanical and Plumbing
Snug Tug is powered with a single Cummins 6BTA 5.9M that is maintained professionally and proactively upgraded. She is a very fuel efficient boat that cruises at 7 to 8 knots, while only burning 1.8 gal per hour. Her 270 hp Cummins will open up to 15 knots. The low hours are very deceiving as mechanically she is in great shape.
For close quarters maneuverability, she has Sidepower hydraulic bow and stern thrusters that are managed with a dual joystick. These proportional thrusters have variable speed control and a hold-feature, as well as CAN-bus communication for system integration.

Hull and Deck
Lynn Senour’s semi displacement hull design has captured the overall look of the classic tugboat, and the hand-laid fiberglass construction used by Nordic Tugs has proven to be as rugged and substantial as the boat’s look implies.
An ivory-toned superstructure sets the Nordic Tug 32 apart from the polar white of other vessels, and gives it a warm inviting look with reduced glare. All of the hand rails are one inch stainless steel tubing and are plentiful for secure passage around the boat. The integrated swim platform as well as the transom door makes boarding very easy.
A full keel protects the prop under water, and integrated swim platform makes Snug Tug a very comfortable boat whether at anchor or underway.
