Hallberg-Rassy 44

THE BEST OF HALLBERG-RASSY, BLENDED WITH MODERN IMPROVEMENTS

The all-new Hallberg-Rassy 44 combines the best Hallberg-Rassy stands for, spiced with contemporary improvements for fast and comfortable cruising.

Looking to provide customers with the unparalleled quality of a Hallberg-Rassy, but with some modern features that clearly set the new 44 apart from her sisterships, HR and designer Germán Frers have filled this latest design with some unique changes and options.

Interior Options

There are numerous interior layout options to choose from including having one or two forward cabins, a linear or U-shaped galley, and an aft cabin with centerline berth or two individual berths with a settee in-between. Also, in the salon you can have your new 44 with a long settee to starboard or two captain’s chairs.

On Deck

One of the first things you’ll notice about the HR44 is the clean appearance of the running rigging and deck layout, coupled with an integral bowsprit and six flush mounted hatches. Control lines from the mast are channeled underneath the deck to provide an uncluttered look as they run back to recessed clutches and a line box located on the coaming. And a new integral bowsprit houses the primary anchor while also providing a place farther forward to tack down a large flying or reaching sail. This upgrade is one that performance oriented cruisers will surely appreciate.

Twin Rudders and New Transom

Following the modern trend of many ocean racing and cruising yachts, HR and designer Germán Frers opted to go with twin rudders. This is the first HR to have this setup, and having sailed many boats with twin rudders, Swiftsure can attest to the ease of steering in all conditions and on all points of sail by the mechanical advantage gained. Also, at the stern, a new dropdown transom platform is standard and offers simple entry to the water and dinghy.
