Accommodations

The Hallberg-Rassy 42's interior is exceptionally well suited to extended cruising, combining generous living space with the secure, practical feel expected of a Scandinavian offshore yacht. NANCY B sleeps six and features 6'7" headroom in the salon. The interior is finished in light mahogany with a matt silk finish and teak-and-holly sole. The woodwork is in excellent condition, complemented by Ultrasuede upholstery and carpeting throughout most of the boat.

The salon provides comfortable seating on both sides, with the port settee able to convert to a full-width sleeping berth. Handholds are thoughtfully positioned throughout, while abundant lockers and storage spaces make the boat well suited to extended time aboard. Nine Hella fans, LED overhead lighting, Alpenglow lighting and Webasto forced-air heat add comfort in a range of conditions.

The forward cabin features a double berth with substantial storage above and below, plus a removable infill that creates a more comfortable double berth. The forward head features a watertight shower stall, teak grating, china basin and dedicated shower drainage system.

The aft cabin offers a large double berth to starboard, with a split single berth to port, along with generous cabinet and hanging-locker storage. The aft head includes a separate shower with seat and opening ventilation window.

The galley is designed for serious cruising, with a well-insulated top-loading refrigerator, extra-deep double sink and Force 10 three-burner gimbaled stove and oven. A microwave has been removed, leaving additional space aft of the refrigerator.

The navigation area includes a spacious chart table, five drawers and dedicated storage, with convenient access to the engine room through a large rubber-sealed double door.

The Hallberg-Rassy 42 rig is particularly well suited to manageable offshore sailing, and NANCY B has been thoughtfully equipped for versatility and redundancy.

The Seldén double-spreader mast features in-mast furling and there is a whisker pole and removable bow sprit for an asymmetrical spinnaker.
