Designed by Robert Perry and built by Tayana Yachts, Anamchara is a perfect blend of expertise in cruising sailboat design and construction by a well-regarded shipyard. The proof is in the pudding as this model (later known as the Tayana 48) was still in production even a few years ago when Tayana ceased building boats. The Tayana 47’s fin keel and skeg-hung rudder provide a good blend of safety and sailing performance while her high-volume hull offers ample living and storage space. Her center cockpit arrangement separates two private staterooms (each with head and separate shower stall) from the large main living area including a well-conceived passageway galley.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Tayana 47 is a superior combination of the advanced design concepts of Robert Perry and the incomparable boat building skills of the craftsmen at Ta Yang Yacht Building Co. Using the finest materials money can buy, Ta Yang puts together a yacht which has it all – speed under sail, safety in any sea condition and comfort found in few yachts of this size. The design target for the Tayana 47 was to produce a yacht that out-performs the competition in this size range in both boat speed and interior volume. This was achieved by a process not unlike the type used by racing yacht designers. Hull proportions were studied along with interior layouts to produce a yacht proving that space and comfort is achievable in a large cruising yacht without sacrificing speed and sailing ability. The interior is available in either a three stateroom or two stateroom layout. Customize the interior to accommodate your lifestyle with your choices of two or three sleeping cabins; teak or light hardwoods; Formica, marble, or Corian counters and your choice of luxurious fabrics. The oversize navigation area can be your office away from home. Numerous optional arrangements are available, as are further customizations to the existing lay outs. This boat has the ability to be pressed hard with good helm balance. The deck design makes her easily managed by a two-person crew. The extremely affordable Tayana 47 offers quality and performance that distinguishes her from every yacht in this size and class.
