BELLAMARE is a particularly compelling example of the model, having received a major refit in 2024 that went well beyond cosmetics. Her teak decks were removed, all deck hardware was taken off, and the hull and deck were professionally painted in Awlgrip to a very high standard before the hardware was reinstalled and re-sealed. Portlight lenses were replaced, the standing rigging was renewed, the sails were serviced and a new staysail added. Many of the through-hulls were upgraded to high-quality Trudesign composite fittings and valves. In 2026, all Lewmar deck hatch lids were replaced. Below deck, new LED lighting, USB charging outlets in each stateroom, new salon upholstery and a custom spring mattress in the master stateroom further modernize an already exceptionally comfortable cruising interior. Her mainsail cover, dodger and full cockpit enclosure were also replaced in tasteful charcoal gray, complementing her recently refinished hull. Much of this work was completed in preparation for an extended family cruise from New Zealand to Alaska, giving the refit a clear emphasis on reliability and cruising capability rather than simply presentation.
