Insouciant is a great opportunity for folks in the Pacific Northwest to get into sailing without having to spend a lot of money. She's in a slip, ready to sail, and has just come from the boatyard with fresh bottom paint. Insouciant has a good set of sails, a big swim step, forced air diesel heat, great accommodations, and a very clean interior. Basic Details

When boarding Insouciant she feels more manageable than most modern 35 footers. She has moderate freeboard and it makes her much easier to board from the dock. Her decks feel uncluttered and you can make your way around easily. The cockpit seats four comfortably and there is room to get around the wheel. The swim-step is large and easy to access from a dinghy (included). There are two small seats built into the aft rails and a BBQ. This is a boat built for comfort.

The lines are lead to the forward end of the cockpit accessible to the crew, with winches and clutches under the dodger. There is a radar and instruments that are set in on either side of the companionway.

There is a main and jib sail with plenty of life left in them. She has a Dutchman system for control of the main when raising and lowering.

Coming down the companionway steps the first thing you notice is all the natural light. There are hatches, ports and skylights that make it feel warm and inviting. You have a generous galley to port and the engine access is under the stairs. There is a Hillerrange two burner CNG stove with oven and top loading fridge. The double SS sink is on the center-line and she has pressured water.

To starboard is a large head with a molded in seat for the shower. The head is clean and there are no head odors. The toilet faces fore and aft, so it's usable underway.

The navigation station is to starboard forward of the head and facing aft. There is room for a chart or laptop and the electrical panel, VHF and Stereo. There is an ESPAR forced air diesel heater control here and vents throughout.

Aft to port is the access to a huge bed under the cockpit. It's set athwartship so the bed is shaped like a rectangle. There are opening ports for ventilation and plenty of natural light.

Forward of the galley on starboard is an L-shaped settee with a table that goes up and down via a pulley system to make a bed. There is a leaf that folds up to starboard to extend the dining area. To starboard is a long settee with shelves and storage outside of it.

At the forward end of the main salon is a double door leading to the V-berth. The V-berth is small for adults but perfect for kids, especially with the doors.

The cushions were replaced with high quality foam in 2018 and they are in terrific condition.
