The new design benefits from extra waterline length, increased volume aft, greater form stability, more efficient keel and rudder, and increased sail area. This is most notable in light air where the increased power and easier driven hull will really be apparent to anyone who has sailed on an older Hallberg-Rassy design. Relative to the HR42F, the cockpit is larger and deeper. The aft stateroom is massive; indeed, it’s larger than on an HR46. The forward stateroom has an impressive array of storage lockers and the forward head has a huge, separate stall shower. With 150 HR 43s built between 2001 and 2008, this model is recognized as a modern offshore cruising classic. ELEUTHERIA is hull No. 109 of this model. In 2008, minor changes were made to the deck and interior of the HR43 and the design continued in production as the HR43 MkIII until 2016 when it was replaced by a new model; the Hallberg-Rassy 44.

HIGHLIGHTS:

New Elvstrom hydranet mainsail, genoa, and storm jib

New Raymarine electronics suite

Spectra Catalina watermaker

Custom Canvas full winter storage boat cover

Mastervolt Whisper 3.5 genset with only 96 hours

Highfield 310 aluminum RIB (new 2019) with Yamaha 9.9 hp Enduro OB

Sirius XM Infolink weather receiver

USA propane system with Trident LPG solenoid, alarm, and new oven/stove

New running rigging in 2020

New dodger and new full cockpit enclosure

ACCOMMODATIONS:

ELEUTHERIA’s joinery is mahogany and sealed with satin varnish. The bilge pump has been installed in a position where it can be cleaned even in extremely bad weather conditions.

Volvo Penta D2 75hp engine (3365 hours)

Volvo instrument panel on steering pedestal with tachometer, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltmeter

Manual engine shutdown cable to steering pedestal

Volvo dripless shaft seal (replaced 2021)

Gori three blade folding propeller

Thermal and acoustic insulation in engine room

Double Racor primary fuel filters

Racor filter for genset

8hp Sidepower bowthruster with foot switches at helm

Whitlock wheel steering with Cardan linked rod

Webasto Airtop 5000 diesel heater with five outlets, digital thermostat and aft cabin on/off switch

Insulated water heater, 40 liters, 110V and engine heated

Hot and cold pressure water system with filter cartridge and accumulator tank

Whale Gulper 220 shower waste pumps to both showers

Flojet 12V 13 lt/minute deck washdown pump

Manual bilge pump

Emergency high water, large capacity bilge pump with alarm

(2) Top opening Isotherm SP keel cooled refrigeration and freezer with Danfoss 12v compressors

Trident LPG solenoid, switch, and alarm and USA propane hose

Trident 150000 BTU/HR auto change over propane regulator with gages

(2) Aluminum propane tanks

Hot/cold fresh water stern shower

Seawater foot pump in galley

Holding tanks for both heads with deck pump outs and gravity overboard discharge

Analog fuel and water tank meters

Spectra Catalina 12V 300 gpd watermaker with MPC -3000 remote control panel

MISCELLANEOUS:

Lifesling2 in soft case

Emergency tiller

BFA Hard valise 6 person life raft with stainless steel storage cradle (needs inspection)

Boathook

Wooden bungs for plugging each underwater through hull

10’ Highfield Model CL310PVC aluminum RIB (new 2019)

Yamaha 9.9hp Enduro outboard engine

Custom Canvas winter storage full boat cover
