Interior Accommodations
ASTA features a two stateroom, one head arrangement that is ideal for passagemaking. At the bow, the foclse is separated from the main cabin by a watertight bulkhead and door. This storage area is well configured for sails and other large items. Aft is the forward stateroom with bunks to port. There is a counter with sink and storage to starboard. The salon is aft, with a dinette to port and straight settee to starboard. The fixed table has a leaf that creates a large table where guests can be seated at the dinette and settee. Cleverly designed pipe berths stow in cabinets outboard of the settees and can be put into place when on passage. The nav station is aft to starboard. There is a large chart table with storage below. Outboard, the electrical distribution panel, battery monitors, radios and chartplotter are close at hand. The U-shaped galley to port provides a massive counter space. There is a double stainless sink, top loading fridge and freezer compartments (with separate compressors) and two burner stove. Large hatches overhead and opening ports provide great ventilation. The head is aft to starboard, with the Blake toilet installed at the aft end. A shower is integral to the space, with teak grate covering the sole. To port is the quarter cabin with a large berth that stretches beneath the cockpit.
Her interior is finished in high gloss Ultravar 2000 UV stabilized finish. The cabin sole boards were professionally refinished in 2014. All cabinets, drawers and moving boards are lockable with 10mm bolts with a key. Lockers and cupboard doors have bespoke matching vents. Bulkheads and all furniture are laminated to the hull. Her headliner throughout is durable white laminate. There is ample ventilation through numerous large hatches and ports. All hatches have fly screens. 12v fans are located throughout the cabins for air movement.
