The Valiant factory offered a highly customizable build process that was attractive for the original owners who had owned a Valiant 40 and understood how to make the boat even better. She was ordered from the factory with all the specifications to do just that, and the results of the continuous maintenance, excellent care, and substantial upgrades are evident.At first glance you will notice she is all shining white Awlgrip, stainless steel, with new running rigging and canvas. There is no exterior wood on the boat, except for a little vanished teak trim under the dodger. All the beautiful wood is in the interior; gorgeous hand-rubbed cherry. Mahalo was painted with Awlgrip Awlcraft paint in 2018 in white with a thin blue strip accentuating the sheer line. At that time she received major maintenance while down rigged in Annapolis, Maryland. Everything that could be replaced was replaced. She is like new.
