Luna is a beautiful sailboat — modern, practical, capable and fast cruising yacht. This Hanse 455 was built to rigorous standards in Greifswald, Germany on the North Sea and designed by top industry naval architects Judel/Vrolijk. Ample beam creates a lavish, warm living space (warmed by forced air diesel heat) and the simply-styled layout (three cabins, two heads) offers enough space for both entertaining and privacy. Her fold-down swim platform gives amazing step-aboard access from dock or tender.
Handling the Hanse 455 under sail is simple. Flat decks surround a large secure cockpit, where all sail controls and halyards lead aft to two Spinlock clutch organizers. All control lines can use one of two electric winches just forward of each helm station. The combination of the stock self-tacking jib and German-style main sheet system (continuous double-ended) allows the helmsperson to trim from either side while under sail. Single-line reefing makes mainsail handling a snap when the weather starts to turn.
The Classic Stripes teak and holly flooring, upgraded American Cherry wood interior and chocolate colored, Comfort Style Monte Portofino leather upholstery gives Luna a rich, warm and inviting feeling below below decks. Her light use is evident in her condition and fastidious care by her original owners. The Volvo Penta D2-75 shows under 475 hours on the meter. This like-new three cabin, two head Hanse is ready to go cruising right now.

Interior Accommodations
Entering the companionway on Luna you are greeted with a bright, modern and spacious interior. The slightly raised coach roof cabin and wide beam provides 6’ 4” of headroom, abundant natural light and lots of seating space in the saloon.
Starting forward, there is a large V-berth cabin with a private enclosed head to port and separate shower stall to starboard. The cabin is finished in bright American Cherry with satin finish, two reading lights over the bunk and overhead LED lighting. The shelving in this area is also well configured with two hanging lockers and storage shelves along the hull for accessible necessities. There is an overhead hatch for ventilation at anchor and for cruising in colder areas this cabin has its own outlet for the Eberspacher diesel heater. This cabin and bed is well suited for two people, never feeling cramped for a long cruise. The ensuite head on the port side is enclosed with its own door for privacy. There is a single basin sink with hot and cold pressure water and an electric toilet. On the starboard side of the cabin is the separate enclosed shower. There is a handheld showerhead with hot and cold pressure water.
Moving aft into the salon, the smart light control provides customizable lighting. The overhead lights are on a dimmer and the LED reading lights are all individually controlled. The U-shaped seating around the galley table is large enough for six people to dine at with an additional bench seat for any visitors. This table also drops down for additional sleeping quarters large enough for two people. On the port side, opposite the table is a separate L-shaped settee.
The nav station is just aft on the port side. It provides space for chart plotting, weather routing or small project space. It is equipped with a LED red/white reading light, VHF, multifunction radio and easy access to the meticulously labeled DC panel. The AC panel is located just below the nav station at your feet.
The well-equipped galley is on the starboard side and allows the cook to be part of the party. There is a double basin sink with counter top drop ins, top and front loading fridge access, and three burner propane stove and oven. There is an additional fridge drawer aft of the stove for easy access refrigerated items. For quick meals, there is a flush mounted microwave. The bright cabinetry provides lots of storage and is secure while underway.
Walking through the galley leads to the starboard aft cabin. There is a single hanging locker and the bunk is adequate for two people. This cabin also provides access to the starboard side of the engine through a secure hatch door. This cabin has lots of natural light, two LED reading lights.
Back in the main saloon and aft of the nav station is the aft head. This spacious and bright head is equipped with a manual toilet, single basin sink with hot and cold pressure water and separated but not enclosed wet shower. The plexiglass frosted door provides privacy while showering and keeps the rest of the head dry for anyone else. There is good storage below the sink and behind the mirror. This head accommodates the two aft cabins and is great while underway.
Just aft of the head on the port side of the boat is the port aft cabin. This cabin is a mirror of the starboard side and also provides great access to the engine.
