Price Reduced, Ruby Kiss is now an excellent value at $995k!
The price reflects the sellers desire to find a new steward for Ruby Kiss. This is an exception vessel, properly cared for. The fuel tanks are full and she is ready to go!
Ruby Kiss was commissioned by a cruising couple that have circumnavigated and each has over 100,000 blue water miles. Ruby Kiss has combined all the best attributes of their prior boats and can comfortably be operated by a couple anywhere and at any latitude. She is equally at home at anchor in the lagoon of a remote atoll as she is cruising the Inside Passage or on an expedition through the infamous Northwest Passage.
Ruby Kiss has many Attributes that make her special. There is 270 deg. viewing from the salon. She is a twin screw vessel for added maneuverability and power underway, and for economy, can be run on one engine — giving her a 3,000-mile range. She has large fuel and water tankage (640 gal diesel capacity in 5 separate fuel tanks with fuel scrubber transfer pump. 240 gal freshwater capacity). The sail plan is an all roller furling ketch rig. The aft section is a power boat stern for easy access in any conditions, for boarding, loading supplies and fishing. As cruisers know 85% of cruising is at anchor or a marina, of the balance of 15% 1/2 is spent motoring and the other sailing. This boat is set up for both. Ruby has a fully enclosed upper cockpit for all weather conditions. The other cruiser mantra is to have the biggest anchor and ground tackle for safety and the largest tender the boat can carry. Ruby Kiss has a 15.5′ AB aluminum hull RIB with a 40 HP Yamaha and 2- 8 gal tanks and another 10 gal in 2 Jerry cans for maximum exploring range. Her primary anchor is a 100 # Manson with 400′ of 3/8 hi test chain and 150′ of nylon rode for maximum hold in any conditions.
Ruby Kiss is the most recent of the Shannon HPS pilothouse motorsailers. Though the hull and deck were laid up at the Shannon yard, she was finished and customized by a group of professional contractors. The end result is stunning. She has many qualities that set her apart from other vessels.
Her highly experienced owners, having formerly owned a Nordhavn 72 and three different Gunboat catamarans, have changed plans from doing the Northwest Passage aboard Ruby Kiss and have decided to go back to a cruising catamaran. This is an excellent opportunity to own a nearly new, true expedition style motorsailer, a perfect vessel for the Pacific NW; with all the necessary equipment and all the comfort of a similar sized powerboat at the fraction of the cost.
