Lovely Lady is a well found and maintained 2000 Hallberg-Rassy 46, very much in the spirit of John Neal and Amanda Swan-Neal’s venerable HR46 Mahina Tiare III. Lovely Lady has simple yet proven systems and is equipment with a focus on safe passagemaking and worldwide voyaging. A conventional mainsail with traditional slab reefing, windvane steering with backup autopilot, solar panels, factory supplied hard dodger, extra fuel tank, and Port Townsend/Hasse sails leave little doubt that this yacht can go the distance. Two easy chairs in the salon are one concession to comfort that owner and crew will appreciate when off watch or in port.
Lovely Lady has cruised the Pacific Northwest and sailed south to Mexico, Central America, transited the Panama Canal and is currently dry stored in Curacao. She’s had just one experienced owner since new; a retired Boeing test pilot/military officer whose attention to detail is evident in the outfitting and condition of this great cruising yacht. The seller has purchased a trawler and is ready for Lovely Lady to continue voyaging with a new owner. Lovely Lady will be delivered to Florida in the fall of 2016 if not sold in the Caribbean.
