KOUKLA is a magnificent blue water world cruiser. She has logged more than 70,000 miles since 1981, including two Atlantic crossings, extensive cruising in the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest to Alaska. With only one owner, she has been meticulously maintained with considerable upgrades and features not commonly found in other yachts of this kind. Redundant systems make sure all critical systems have backups for proper operation at sea.
KOUKLA was built by Morgan Yachts and was the featured yacht at the 1981 Annapolis Boat Show. As such, her finishings and carpentry inside represent the highest quality of a Morgan. In 2002 and into 2003 she went through an extensive conversion and customization by the Hinkley Yard in Maine, in cooperation with AdTech Manufacturing Ltd of New Brunswick. She was lengthened to 56 feet, designed with several performance improvements as well as increased lazzerette storage and deck space to hold the dinghy on her deck at sea. In 2011 she passed through the Panama Canal and made her way north throughout Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
KOUKLA is a rare gem, a marriage of both beautiful form and function. You will not find another vessel that can hold a candle to her — a must see!
