Elite yacht for speed and distance, the first GY65 was launched in June 2008, the second one in 2010.
Yachts with integral centerboard or standard keel, built in keeping with the Garcia tradition for quality and skill. The GY65 is a very elegant sailing boat designed by architects from Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, for owners who are ocean cruising enthusiasts.
Built in Sealium, a light, high-performance alloy, this boat is fitted with an adjustable centerboard (or a standard keel as an option), which allows access to shallow moorings far from the crowds. The GY 65 is powerful yet easy to handle, thanks to the accessibility of all the control lines from the helm and the use of a Solent jib. In light winds and for unbridled speed, the jib is assisted by a light Genoa or a Code Zero.
The deck is stylish and uncluttered yet very functional. A discreet and sleek coachroof is perfectly integrated into the profile of the boat. All the control lines are brought back to the helm stations leaving the cockpit completely free for leisure. The tender is neatly housed in the transom.
