Garcia Yachting announces a new Exploration model
Garcia Yachting has just announced the latest addition in their lineup of popular Exploration series cruising yachts, the new Garcia Exploration 60.
In response to clients that envisioned themselves onboard a larger yacht, Garcia Yachting has once again worked with Olivier Racoupeau to create this new model.
So why a 60-footer? The overall goal was to offer greater range, more stowage and even more refined comfort, while remaining — like the rest of the range, which includes the 45 and 52 — easy to handle for a couple without a crew.
Quite clearly, this new design has carried forward the DNA of previous Garcia yachts into a new flagship. The Exploration 60 is specifically designed and optimized to sail anywhere in the world in real comfort and to high safety standard. As its name suggests, the 60 is all about exploring the most remote destinations
And while the new Exploration 60 has many of the characteristics that make the 45 and 52 so desirable including a durable aluminum hull with watertight bulkheads and an integral aluminum centerboard, hard dodger and fiberglass coach roof, and much more, she also has some disguising features all her own. The most notable is in her layout down below.
With a larger all around cabin space, the galley is set down and to port in a U-shape, and the raised center salon area with 270-degree panoramic views has the nav desk forward to port, a settee to port and then a large U-shaped settee and dinning table to starboard. There are also many options available and several layouts including a four cabin family version and a two cabin owner’s version.
